Chora, Tinos

The town of Tinos is the capital of Tinos and the leading destination for pilgrims in Greece. Chora is the largest town of the island and is the administrative capital after the destruction of the former capital and fortress of Tinos, located on the Exombourgo Mountain. Due to its small size, the town of Tinos is easy to explore and to discover all its hidden beauties. Traffic is prohibited on the seafront on summer evenings and the picturesque cobbled street, makes a nice promenade with hundreds of people strolling from one end of the town to the other.

Along the road in Chora of Tinos, there are dozens of cafes, taverns and pastry shops, where you can enjoy your coffee, a cold beer or just the wonderful view and the architecture of the location. The coastal road ends at the port of Tinos with the old shipyard. The town has two harbors, the new harbor, just at the left of the town, is the one where all the ships come and go daily, and the old harbor is mostly used by speedboats.
